Young Children's Dance Program These classes, for 3-6 year olds, are a creative, fun and stimulating introduction to ballet and tap. The classes help nurture a child's ability to follow directions, challenge their imaginations and interact with other children in a warm and structured setting. The emphasis on rhythm, musicality, and agility will help develop their coordination, spacial awareness and sense of self. Young Dancers Program This program, for students ages 7 and up, has a progressive series of structured classes designed to aid in developing the students physical coordination, strength, flexibility, musicality and spacial awareness. Each discipline will teach students: correct technique, performance quality, confidence and self discipline. Beginning at the age of 7 we recommend more than one class a week. Ballet technique, being the basis of all dance, is strongly encouraged. It will help the student achieve success in all other forms of dance. Teen Dance Program A program for students who like to dance for recreation. The classes will help motivate and condition students. The techniques taught, will develop coordination, flexibility, muscular definition and rhythm. Classes: Elem/Teen ballet, Tap, Jazz/musical theater/Hip Hop Modern, 13+ years Intensive Study Program Junior and Senior Students A program designed for serious dance students. These classes are intermediate to advance level standing. Students in this program dance a minimum of 4 hours a week and are age 12 and older. Classes are designed to develop strong technique and enhance performance ability. All students must take ballet class. Students interested in a college major in dance are encouraged and guided in this program. Classes: Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz/musical theater/Hip Hop, Conditioning & Modern. Ballet Students will study the Royal Academy of Dancing Higher grade and vocational syllabus examination program. |
