Tuition & Policies
Important Information to help your dance season run smoothly.
Tuition
Monthly tuition for the Fall–Spring Season is based on the number of hours a student attends each week. Tuition is divided into nine equal monthly installments, automatically processed on the first of each month from September through May.
A credit card, debit card, or bank account must be kept on file for automatic payments. A 3% surcharge applies to credit and debit card payments; there is no additional charge for ACH/EFT payments.
Tuition remains the same each month, even though some months may have more or fewer class meetings than others. Tuition is non-refundable. Students who miss class due to illness or injury may arrange a make-up class when appropriate.
Registration Fee
$50 per family
This one-time annual fee covers registering & maintaining your family account for the dance season.

Policies
Attendance & Make-Up Classes
Regular attendance is important for student progress and helps students get the most from their dance education.
Please notify the office if your child will be absent from class.
Missed classes are not eligible for tuition refunds. Students who miss class due to illness or injury may arrange a make-up class.
Students should arrive on time and be prepared to participate at the scheduled start of class.
Online Student Waiver
Upon enrollment, all families must accept the Online Student Waiver / Release of Liability through Studio Director.
Student Behavior & Studio Expectations
NESD&T strives to provide a positive, welcoming, and respectful environment for all students.
Students are expected to:
-
Treat teachers, staff, classmates, and other families with respect.
-
Follow teacher instructions and studio rules.
-
Use appropriate language and behavior.
-
Help maintain a clean and safe studio environment.
-
Respect studio property and the belongings of others.
Parents and guardians are responsible for discussing appropriate behavior and studio expectations with their children.
Repeated behavior that disrupts class or creates an unsafe environment may require a conversation with the student and family.
Pick-Up & Drop-Off
Parents should plan to bring their child upstairs to NESD&T for class and return to the lobby to pick them up whenever possible.
Please plan to drop off or pick up students no more than 15 minutes before the start or after the end of class. If additional drop-off or pick-up time is needed, please make arrangements with the office in advance.
Please be aware that the time before and between classes is used for cleaning, office work, and other studio needs. Staff may not be available to receive students earlier than 15 minutes before class.
Students should not be left waiting in the hallway unattended.
Communication
Important studio announcements and updates will be communicated by email. Families are responsible for keeping their contact information current in Studio Director and for reviewing studio communications.
Questions regarding registration, tuition, scheduling, cancellations, or other studio matters should be directed to the office.
Please do not contact individual faculty members regarding matters that should be handled through the office.
Private Lessons & Studio Use
Fees for private lessons and other studio services must be paid directly to NESD&T, not to the teacher.
All private lessons must take place at NESD&T. Arrangements for rehearsals, private lessons, and studio time must be scheduled through the office.
Health & Wellness
All students and parents are encouraged to sanitize their hands upon entering the studio to help prevent the spread of germs and illness.
Students should remain home when experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness and return when they are feeling well enough to participate fully in class and are no longer considered contagious.
NESD&T will continue to maintain a clean and welcoming facility for our students and families. We ask that families consider the health and well-being of our entire studio community when deciding whether a student is well enough to participate in class.
Inclement Weather & Class Cancellations
NESD&T will notify families by email if classes are canceled due to inclement weather:
-
Weekdays: By 1:00 PM
-
Saturdays: By 7:30 AM
Make-up classes and/or additional class options will be included in the cancellation email.
Please do not contact individual faculty members regarding weather-related cancellations. Questions should be directed to the office at nesdoffice@gmail.com.
If weather conditions change or worsen after the times listed above, NESD&T will make a decision as soon as possible and notify families before classes begin whenever possible.
If classes have already started and we need to dismiss students early due to changing weather conditions, we will call and email the families of students who are at the studio.
Students who drive themselves should check with their parents or guardians regarding whether it is safe to drive home or whether a pick-up arrangement is needed. Students should also let the office know their plan.
Parents are always welcome to contact the office with any questions or concerns.
