NESD&T's

Performing Company

Train. Perform. Grow. Together.

The NESD&T Performing Company is our competitive dance program for students ages 5 & up who are ready for additional performance opportunities and a deeper commitment to their dance education.

More than a competition team, our Performing Company is designed to provide dancers with meaningful and educational performance experiences in a supportive, team-focused environment.

Through their training and experiences together, dancers develop confidence, responsibility, teamwork, and artistry while continuing to grow, not only as dancers and performers, but as people.

We are STRONG.

S — Support
Be there for your teammates and celebrate one another.

T — Teamwork
Work together toward shared goals and understand that every dancer contributes to the team.

R — Reliability
Follow through on your commitments and be someone your teachers and teammates can count on.

O — Optimism
Approach challenges with positivity, resilience, and an open mind.

N — Nurture
Nurture the artist within you while encouraging the growth of those around you.

G — Growth Mindset
Focus on progress over outcome and recognize that challenges are an important part of growth.

Commitment Levels

We recognize that dancers and families may be looking for different levels of involvement. The NESD&T Performing Company offers two commitment levels:

Blue Level - Part Time Commitment

Designed for dancers who would like to experience Performing Company with a more manageable training and performance commitment. Dancers participate in 3 regional competitions throughout the season and are placed in 1–2 competitive group pieces based on their company level.

Gold Level - Full time commitment

Designed for dancers ready to make Performing Company a significant part of their dance training, with increased class, rehearsal, performance, and team commitments. Dancers participate in 3 regional competitions and 1 national competition and have a larger performance commitment with additional group pieces. Gold Level dancers may also be considered for solo and duet/trio opportunities.

For more information on commitment levels please email nesdcompanymanager@gmail.com.

Our Companies

Performing Company dancers are placed into one of our five companies based on age, technical level, performance readiness, and leadership skills.

Mini Performing Company

Petite Performing Company

Junior Performing Company

Teen Performing Company

Senior or ALINEA Performing Company

While dancers are often placed in a company that corresponds with their NESD&T class level, company placement is individualized. Our faculty considers each dancer's overall development and places them in the environment where we believe they will learn, contribute, and thrive.

Ready to Take the Next Step?

Performing Company is about so much more than competition. It’s a place for dancers to challenge themselves, build lasting friendships, grow in confidence and artistry, and experience the joy of being part of a team.

Whether your dancer is interested in taking their first step into competitive dance or is ready for a greater commitment to their training, we would love to help you determine if Performing Company is the right fit.

NESD Booster Club

The NESD Booster Club is a parent-run, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting our Performing Company dancers and helping make competition opportunities more affordable for families.

Through fundraising and community support, the Booster Club helps offset competition expenses for participating dancers. For the past two seasons, fundraising efforts have covered all regional and national group competition fees for dancers who participated in Booster Club fundraising!

Support Our Dancers

The Booster Club welcomes support from local businesses and community sponsors throughout the season. Sponsorship is a wonderful way to support young performing artists while introducing your business to NESD&T families and the communities our dancers visit throughout the competition season.

Business sponsors are recognized on our Booster Club T-shirt, worn by dancers throughout the season, along with other sponsorship recognition opportunities.
